Frequently asked questions

Short answers about how Kinkeel works.

What is Kinkeel?

Kinkeel is a shared record for siblings who look after a parent. Each of you logs the time you give and the money you pay, and Kinkeel shows a fair picture of who has done what.

Does Kinkeel move money?

No. Kinkeel never holds, sends or collects money. It shows what each sibling gave and what a fair share is, and you settle up between you, outside Kinkeel.

Who sees what?

The siblings of a family see its entries and balances. Your private income is never shown to the others, and the private notes you write stay on your device. An agency that follows a family sees totals and activity only, never what each sibling gave.

How do my siblings join?

You send each of them an invitation link, or email it from Kinkeel. A link works once, only for the person who opens it, and expires after 14 days.

How is the care split?

You choose between an equal split, a split by income, or time for money. A change of the split or of the rates only takes effect when every sibling accepts it.

Can an entry be changed or deleted?

No. The record is never rewritten. A mistake is fixed with a new entry that replaces the old one, and the history stays visible to the whole family.

Which languages does Kinkeel speak?

English, French, German, Norwegian, Serbian (in Cyrillic) and Swedish. The emails are sent in the language you choose.

What happens to my data?

You can download your data and delete your account from your account settings. Deleting an account removes everything personal. Read the privacy policy for the details.
