Terms and conditions

Last updated: October 24, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Kinkeel when you use the website and the apps. By creating an account or using Kinkeel you agree to them.

1. The service

Kinkeel is a shared record for siblings who look after a parent: you log the time you give and the money you pay, and the application shows a fair picture of who gave what. Kinkeel does not hold, send or collect money. The siblings settle up between themselves, outside Kinkeel.

2. Your account

You must give true information, confirm your email address and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it. If you change your email address, the new address must be one you control.

3. Using Kinkeel and what you add

Use Kinkeel only for its purpose and within the law. Do not log false entries, do not try to reach the information of other families and do not disturb or attack the service.

You are responsible for what you add: the entries, the comments and the receipts. Add only what you have the right to share with your family, write comments that are respectful, do not upload photos of anything that is not a receipt, and do not add personal information about other people unless it is needed for the care. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

The record is only added to: an entry is never edited or deleted. A mistake is fixed with a new entry that replaces the old one, and the history stays visible to the family. Comments and receipts follow the entry they belong to.

The way your family splits the care and the rates change only when every sibling accepts a proposal.

4. Settling up

The balances and the suggested transfers help the family talk and agree. When the family marks a period as settled, Kinkeel closes it: the balances start again from that point and the entries of the closed period can no longer be corrected or removed. Marking a period as settled does not move money and is not a receipt of payment, and a suggestion is not a demand.

5. Families and agencies

A family is managed by its account holder, who can invite and remove siblings, hand the family over and delete it. When a care agency follows a family, the staff of the agency can see the totals and the activity of the family and can send the invitation to a sibling. A sibling who joins agrees to share the record of the family with the other siblings.

6. No advice

The balances and the percentages are a help for the family to talk and agree. They are not legal, tax or financial advice and they do not create a debt between the siblings.

7. Availability and changes

We try to keep Kinkeel available and correct, but we provide it as it is, without a promise that it will always work without interruption or errors. We may change the service or these terms and will change the date above. When the change is important we will tell you. If you keep using Kinkeel after a change, you accept it.

8. Ending your use

You can stop using Kinkeel at any time and delete your account in your settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. What happens to your information is described in the privacy policy.

9. Liability and contact

As far as the law allows, Kinkeel is not liable for indirect or consequential damages that come from using the service. Nothing here limits the rights the law gives you. For any question, use the Contact link at the bottom of the page.
